Day 19 - Cruising all day and night and arrived at Flam Tuesday morning.

We are now at Flam (pronounced "Flom") and there is no internet on ship.  We will have trouble from here on to get the blog up.  
Will keep trying where we can.  Some photos are from Amsterdam and others are of the ship and then at our first stop in Norway, the village of Flam.

This is the train taking us from the village of Flam up to the top of the mountain, 2000 feet up in 20 miles.

Day 29 - Stavanger

Lying on the south west coast of Norway, Stavanger is the country's fourth largest city and is nicknamed the oil capital.  A wander through the car free streets show open air markets and the usual picturesque mountains and waterfalls.  One of the most popular tourist destinations is Pulpit Rock which we reached by fast catamaran in about 30 minutes.  It stands 1500 feet above the water and is a flat rock giving tourists a breathtaking scenic view above the fjord. The cathedral in the city centre built in 1123 remains the oldest in Norway.

Day 11

The tour finished today with a trip to Savoca and then our goodbyes back at Taormina. Mike made a great speech including everyone of the group.  Many funny memories were bought up including Lizzie comment to the young waiter early on the tour.  Lizzie by the way is 86 and kept up with the group with ease.
