Day 29 - Stavanger

Lying on the south west coast of Norway, Stavanger is the country's fourth largest city and is nicknamed the oil capital.  A wander through the car free streets show open air markets and the usual picturesque mountains and waterfalls.  One of the most popular tourist destinations is Pulpit Rock which we reached by fast catamaran in about 30 minutes.  It stands 1500 feet above the water and is a flat rock giving tourists a breathtaking scenic view above the fjord.
The cathedral in the city centre built in 1123 remains the oldest in Norway.
